I don't live in Idaho - can I still order from you?

Not in Boise? No problem. Our friends and partners are located all over the country. We ship to 50 states and our experienced technicians are happy to guide you every step of the way—from identifying your goals and choosing the right products to successfully installing your new energy-efficient equipment.

Cancelling Your Order

If you have placed an order and would like to cancel it, please call us at 1-208-949-3947 within FOUR hours of placing your order to cancel it free of any charges.

Don't worry! Even after the four hours, our friendly customer service representatives will do all that they can to stop the items from being processed and/or shipped. Please note, however, there is no guarantee that we will be able to stop it in time. Please allow 10-14 days once we have received your return to process and credit your credit card.

Returns & Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, less the original cost of shipping and a 15% re-stocking fee. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. All items must be unused, uninstalled and in original packaging. Cost of return shipping is the sole responsibility of the customer. Insurance is strongly suggested due to the frequency of items damaged in shipping. No refund will be issued if product is deemed unable to be resold by the manufacturer.

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be requested prior to the return of the item. Requests must be made by phone directly with a sales representative with either your order number or full name & original purchase date. Refunds will be processed once we receive credit from the manufacturer. Please allow a minimum of 6-8 weeks for refund. Any orders that are returned without receiving prior authorization from Gem State Solar will void our return policy and no refund will be given. This includes refusing orders upon delivery.

How do I exchange or return an item?

We work hard to make your shopping experience at Gem State Solar an enjoyable one. If your order arrives at your door damaged, broken or defective, we will either replace the broken parts, if possible, or ship out a new one at our expense. Requests for replacement parts will be processed as quickly as possible. Please note that we are not able to express ship replacement pieces.

Can I place my order over the phone?

Can my order be shipped to a PO Box?

We apologize for any inconvenience, but UPS and FedEx will not ship packages to PO boxes.

5-10 business days. Most orders shipped same day from our warehouse.

Can the solar attic fans and tubular skylights withstand extreme weather conditions?

Yes. Engineered using the most durable materials available, our solar attic fans and tube lights are designed to withstand nature's most extreme conditions, including hurricanes and tornadoes.

Is Natural Light's tubular skylight ICBO approved?

Yes, ICBO ES evaluates constuction products and materials to determine whether they meet the requirements of building and related codes. Natural Light tubular skylights have been tested and approved by the ICBO ES staff of professionally licensed civil, structural, fire, mechanical and quality control engineers. ICBO ES is the only globally accredited building code evaluation service in the US.

What is the warranty on the solar attic fan?

Natural Light warrants their product to be free from defects in material and manufacturer’s workmanship for a period of 25 years on the housing, the solar panel, and the motor, from the date of installation. This warranty is subject to proper installation of the unit in accordance with the manufacturer’s written installation instructions. The manufacturer will not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages.

What is the warranty on the tubular skylight?

The manufacturer warrants its products and components to be free from defects in material and manufacturer’s workmanship for a period of 25 years from the date of installation. This warranty is subject to proper installation of the unit in accordance with the manufacturer’s written installation instructions. The manufacturer will not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages.

What is the warranty on installation?

We are so confident you will not have any problems with our installations that we warranty our installation for a period of 5 years.

How many years of experience do your installers have?

Our installers have 20 years of experience servicing residential and commercial buildings.

Can I add an electric light to the skylight?

Yes! The tubular skylight kit can be installed in the same ceiling rough out of the fixture that is being replaced, or anywhere else with access to electrical wiring. An incandescent or fluorescent light fixture can then be mounted inside and wired to the wall switch. Your tubular skylight is now ready to serve for evening illumination!

Can I add an option to close the skylight?

Yes, the dimmer allows you to adjust the amount of daylight entering a room with an easy-to-use remote control.
